Privacy policy

The short version

  • No accounts, no passwords, no ad tracking, no selling data. Ever.
  • What you type — a display name, video picks, scores — lives in a room that self-destructs in about 12 hours. Recaps last 30 days.
  • Videos play in YouTube's embedded player, and YouTube handles that data under Google's rules.
  • This is a stage: use a stage name and we never learn your real one.

01 // What we collect

Diva Clash™ has no accounts, so we only hold what the game needs while a night runs:

  • Room data — the display name you enter, an assigned avatar color, the videos you pick (YouTube video IDs and titles), the scores you give and receive, the room code, and timestamps.
  • On your device only — your seat (so you can rejoin a live room) and your list of past nights are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device; clearing site data erases them.
  • If you email us — your address and whatever you wrote, kept as long as the conversation needs.

We don't ask for and don't want real names, email addresses in-game, contact lists, or precise location.

02 // Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to count visits and see which pages get used. It's aggregate measurement without cross-site tracking cookies — we see that a room was hosted, not who hosted it.

03 // Who else touches the data

We sell nothing and share only with the processors that run the service:

  • Vercel — hosts the app and serves every page.
  • Upstash — stores live room and recap data until it expires.
  • YouTube / Google — searches for and streams the videos (details below).

04 // YouTube & Google

Diva Clash uses YouTube API Services. In-app searches are sent to the YouTube Data API to return results, and results may be cached on our servers for up to 24 hours to conserve quota. Videos play in YouTube's embedded player, which Google operates — it may set cookies and collect playback data under the Google Privacy Policy. Using Diva Clash also means agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service.

05 // How long anything lives

  • Live rooms — expire automatically about 12 hours after they open.
  • Recaps — expire automatically about 30 days after the night ends.
  • Share cards — rendered from the recap on demand and cached briefly on the CDN; gone when the recap goes.
  • Your device's local storage — until you clear it.

06 // Recaps are public

A recap page — champion, standings, player display names, and the night's setlist — is visible to anyone with its link for its 30-day life. That's the point: it's made for the group chat. Play under a stage name if you don't want a real name on it, and if you need a recap gone sooner, email egrada.tech@gmail.com with the link and we'll take it down.

07 // Kids

The service isn't directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 used the service, tell us and we'll delete what exists — though odds are the room already deleted itself.

08 // Security

Everything travels over HTTPS, session data is short-lived by design, and there are no passwords to steal. No system is perfectly secure, but our best defense is honest: we keep almost nothing, briefly.

09 // Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA, and friends) you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Email egrada.tech@gmail.com and we'll honor them — usually the honest answer is that the data already expired on its own.

10 // Changes & contact

If this policy changes materially we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. The terms of service cover everything else. Questions: egrada.tech@gmail.com.
